Kathryn is a qualified florist and has been interested and working in floristry and gardening for over 20 years. Her passion for floristry first led her to produce her unique plaster tiles. The tiles are created by impressions from flowers and other materials, many of which are taken from her own cutting garden at Broxfield.
Kathryn says "developing the cutting garden from a field on the farm has been a rewarding project, growing the flowers from seed and seeing them flourish and become beautiful things. Creating a tile is a way to preserve the flowers and have an everlasting tactile impression of their beauty and form which can be enjoyed and shared with others."
The tiles that Kathryn creates beautifully preserve the texture, shape and beauty of the flowers grown in the gardens at Broxfield. She says: "The tiles are like flower fossils! They are a unique way to cherish natural beauty, and original impressions of beautiful things."
